As exciting as the new Standard format is shaping up to be, the next PTQ season is Innistrad Sealed (it begins on October 1 and qualifies players for PT Honolulu in February 2012), and the Prerelease last Saturday was our first taste of the next three month of 5x tournaments. Their Top 8s featured a combination of established archetypes, new decks, and established archetypes trying new things and new cards. The combo is simple: cast Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and use it to copy Pestermite. The token untaps a permanent—Kiki-Jiki—and the 2/2 Goblin is free to make another copy of Pestermite.
