It has been months since I sat down to actually play type two at a “real” tournament. The deck is in concept form but I wanted to get the conversation started. The deck takes advantage of Ancient Ziggurat to play multifunctional creature that allow you to “soft lock” your opponent. All of your creatures are white so Brave the Elements protects them from removal as well as lets you swing through their team if they have blockers. “Jund is Taking Over the World.” That was the title of my last blog for standard and that has come to fruition. Five of the top eight decks at the latest SCG 5 were servings of the BGR Bloodbraid salad known as Jund. I did some testing with my Bant deck against some of the Friday Morning (Midnight Madness) Drafters. The order of the day was Jund followed by Vampires. I have to say that the Jund deck is really good. I should distinguish that the Jund that I am talking about is Jund Aggro, not Jund Mid-Range.
