I haven’t updated in a little while but it’s been a busy weekend (mostly playing Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook and watching the Rap Chop video). I appreciate all the hits I’ve been getting lately. I guess a lot of people are doing the same thing I’m doing right now, scouring the ‘net for tech in the hopes of finding a golden nugget that crushes all. Sadly I don’t think it’s there. So last night, after wrangling my daughter to sleep I decided to do a little testing on MtGO. I didn’t have a ton of time and I was pretty tired, so I didn’t jump in an 8-man Standard queue and opted for the wonky Tournament Practice room instead. I’m now weilding the Green/Black elves build that I previously posted. So, the field is shaping up for nationals, with a few more cards spoiled for M10. Red is looking a little silly, with Lightning Bolt, Ball Lightning and the return of SGC more than making up for the nerfing of our friend Mr Fantastic, but there we go. Further testing has been put on hold until more M10 info is known, but with my final exam tomorrow, I will have much more time to play draft and sealed, either in real life or on MODO, so I should get a good handle on the format by the time the GP rolls aro... The Atlanta StarCityGames.com $5000 Standard Open was a fairly disappointing tournament for me. I decided to battle with my trusty BW Tokens deck into a mediocre finish. Law School is a corrosive place. The subject is generally interesting, but the hours and the pressure erode the soul.
