Hey all, and welcome back to the lab! Watch your steps this week: I've tracked a bunch of sludgy tar through the usually spotless lab atrium. Good thing I have more than one atrium, or atriums. Last week I introduced some new uncommon lands that will surely make their way into a lot of my future decks. This week I'd like to talk about an exciting new deck for extended. Dream Salvage is a card I've wanted to play with for a long time. Unfortunately, I never really had a chance to build a deck with it because of format constraints. Luckily for me, I've just had a "Eureka!" moment, and I now have a reason to be excited about my favorite card that has never seen any competitive play. (more)

There was a good amount of positive feedback and I'd like to continue working on that deck in the near future. Everyone knows about plainswalk, swampwalk, forestwalk, mountainwalk, and islandwalk. But what about the other forms of the ability? You know, the ones that no one talks about these days? If you were to take all of the creatures in the game with a __walk ability that wasn't keyed to one of the basic land types, this is the deck you'd wind up with. As for what your opponent shouldn't have when they play you, how about Deserts, nonbasic lands, snow lands, legendary lands, or blue jeans? Yes, blue jeans. (more)
