It's Presidents Day in the U.S., and we're celebrating with a red-white-and-blue special: Star Spangled Slaughter. Such decks have seen play off and on throughout the game's history (witness All-American Control from Luis Scott-Vargas this Standard season). Splicing together the best blue, red, and white had to offer, Peter Jesuale used this deck in the 2002 U.S. Nationals Standard event. Flametongue Kavu, Lightning Angel, and Meddling Mage are a powerful triumvirate of creatures, with Goblin Trenches bringing up the rear just in case. Add a smatter of counters and burn, and voila! Instant classic.
