1. What kind of stories can I submit?
We only accept stories that are related to Magic The Gathering by Wizards of the Coast. Submitted stories must be open to anyone to read without a subscription. The stories must be in English, but you're welcome to contact us if you would like us to create a similar site for another language. If you feel the community would benefit from a non-mtg related story, you can post it as well.
  2. This site is free?! How do you make money?
This site is all about the community, and we believe the community is fostered through open communication which would be hindered by a "premium" service. Therefore, we intend to draw revenues to operate the site through advertising. We promise that all advertising will be as unintrusive as possible, and we will never allow malware or annoying ads on our site.
  3. Why do the story links take us to a detail page instead of directly to the story?
This is so you can view comments and engage in conversation concerning the story. We are working on a feature to show who summoned and dismissed the story, and the ability to add friends these people as friends, so viewing the detail page will be essential to grow the social networking aspect of the site.
  4. What is the difference between OpenID or Signed up user?
OpenID eliminates the need for multiple usernames across different websites. If you do not have any OpenID account, you can get one free from here. There is no difference between OpenID and signed up users, we treat both the same. However, some of the OpenID providers do not provide email address of user, which is required to get the complete benefits of DotNetShoutout (e.g. comment notification via mail).
