During the Post-Necropotence-Pre-Master’s Edition III Era I had little enthusiasm to write about Eternal Magic on Magic Online mainly because of knowing that a huge breaking wave was about to crash onto the shores of the classic format. Needless to say the Waves of Master's Edition III and From The Vaults-Exiled have hit and we are left amid uncertainty in the aftermath. Please note it is not the uncertainty of which deck to pilot that concerns me, rather I am perplexed by the bigger pictures – the direction of Eternal Magic Online (EMO) and when and if there will be a Split into Legacy and “Vintage” formats. Before I delve into my mind and reveal my thoughts on this topic I would like to take a moment to reflect on the new toys available to EMO players.
